£18,040 left to raise!
This year has certainly been challenging for all of us. This time last year we could not have imagined how much our lives would change in such a short space of time. Thankfully our animals are completely unaware of the pandemic and we have worked hard to ensure it stays that way.
So far this year (up to the end of November 2020) we have helped over 650 animals through our welfare clinics, neutering and help voucher schemes. We have rehomed 186 cats, dogs and small furry pets of which over half of these animals came through the RSPCA inspectors. We have been prioritising RSPCA Inspectorate animals throughout the pandemic as they often encounter the worst cases of abuse and neglect and come to us with challenging medical conditions.
We have dealt with some heart wrenching and upsetting cases this year but we have also seen lots of happy endings, click on the images below and take a little look into our world over the last 12 months.
We want to ensure that we are here for each and every unwanted animal and every penny you donate will make a difference.
Thank you for caring, and a very Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ABOUT OUR CHARITY
As a leading animal rescue charity in the Cotswolds we care for hundreds of abandoned, abused and neglected animals each year. Our job is to make sure our animals are cared for by providing them with a safe space, access to veterinary treatment and plenty of love. Part of our job is to ensure our animals are fully prepared, before they are adopted – no matter how long this may take. Lastly, we carefully match them to a new family to assure they find their forever home.
In addition to our rehoming centre, we also run a twice weekly low-cost veterinary clinic in Stroud, for individuals on means tested benefits. These clinics impact on our local community by ensuring no animal is left to suffer because of the cost of treatment.
The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home is an independent charity, which covers the South Cotswolds region and is affiliated to the national RSPCA. This means that all of the generous donations we receive from the community, stay directly with the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home.
