PLEASE SUPPORT CDCH THROUGH THE SECOND LOCKDOWN
As our charity shops close for another month at least, the centre will be down by £30,000 of the months shop profits. We need your help to support our animals!
It was with huge sadness to hear that the United Kingdom will be entering our second lockdown in just a few days time.
After working so hard to ensure our Charity Shops could re-open, just a short while later, their doors are closed again.
CDCH has 10 Charity Shops. The profit generated from these shops brings in £30,000 a month for the centre. Considering the centre cost an average of £46,000 per month (using last years costings) this covers a huge chunk of our costs.
We are again in panic mode as the shops have confirmed to be closed for at least a month at our busiest time of year.
Between now and Christmas we will be appealing for your help as our animals need continuous care. If you can spare just a few pounds to help us we would really appreciate it.
ABOUT OUR CHARITY
As a leading animal rescue charity in the Cotswolds we care for hundreds of abandoned, abused and neglected animals each year. Our job is to make sure our animals are cared for by providing them with a safe space, access to veterinary treatment and plenty of love. Part of our job is to ensure our animals are fully prepared, before they are adopted – no matter how long this may take. Lastly, we carefully match them to a new family to assure they find their forever home.
In addition to our rehoming centre, we also run a twice weekly low-cost veterinary clinic in Stroud, for individuals on means tested benefits. These clinics impact on our local community by ensuring no animal is left to suffer because of the cost of treatment.
The Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home is an independent charity, which covers the South Cotswolds region and is affiliated to the national RSPCA. This means that all of the generous donations we receive from the community, stay directly with the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home.
