Ideal Home Situation

I require an experienced owner who can continue my training

He's got the looks and the brains! Introducing Charlie, our 1 year old Collie.

It is clear that Charlie has had minimal socialisation until now, so requires a home that will be understanding and dedicated to the on-going training that he needs. A home that is rural or semi rural is required as he would not cope in busy residential areas.

Charlie takes time to build a relationship as he can be fearful of new people and their intentions, but the way to his heart is playing a good game of fetch! Once he trusts you he is incredibly loving, responsive and playful. An adult only home is best suited to him.

He requires a home where he is the only dog as Charlie is incredibly reactive towards other dogs and is very uncomfortable in their presence. Charlie has been muzzle trained here at the centre, and will require this when walking in public to ensure the safety of himself and other dogs.

He is incredibly responsive to training, and loves learning new things as he is highly intelligent. We've even started agility with him here at the centre to burn off some of that collie energy which he loves. He is very active so will thrive in a home that can keep up with his energetic ways.

A home that has had experience with collie traits would be beneficial but not essential. Someone who has experience with reactivity or is willing to learn how to manage this is needed.

Charlie has progressed so much already here at the centre so his confidence will just keep growing. He is ready will fill the right home with lots of fun and laughter!
