Online Listings Sale Assistant

This role will develop a strong profitable on-line ebay shop, working with our Retail Team to deliver agreed sales and profit targets whilst minimising costs.


The post-holder will have a cheerful, confident and friendly approach. You will have a keen eye for sought after goods, branded items and collectables, knowledge of on-line selling, good communication skills and a genuine desire to provide an excellent service to all on-line shop users.


You will show a commitment to the aims of CDCH and possess a willingness and ability to learn and follow direction.


This job has physically active elements. All staff are required to maintain a suitable level of fitness to enable them to perform their role effectively.

Hours: Part Time, 15hrs per week

Salary: £8.91 per hour

Registered Veterinary Nurse

We have a new opportunity for someone to join our Animal Care Team and work collaboratively with our vet to provide the highest standards of veterinary care.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to contribute to the work that we do. Our job is to ensure that our animals have a safe space, access to veterinary treatment and plenty of love. We ensure our animals are fully prepared, before they are adopted – no matter how long this may take.

The post holder will be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. They will also be highly motivated, a team player and have the ability to build positive working relationships with all stakeholders. ​

Hours: Part Time, 8 hours per week (regular full day with some flexibility).

Salary: 23,000 pro rata/per annum.

Animal Care Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Animal Care Team and help care for the most vulnerable animals in our community.

Our vision and aspiration for the centre is that it is exemplar. Our ambition is that no abused, neglected or vulnerable animal in our community is without a safe space. We are looking to build a team of enthusiastic, committed, caring and aspirational people who are passionate about animal welfare, the environment in which it is provided and being a part of the team which deliver it.

Our Animal Care Assistants will be highly motivated and passionate about animal care, you will be responsible the daily animal welfare function with a focus on providing exceptional service to both our four legged and two legged friends.  As an important member of the operational team, the post-holder will be dedicated to the optimum welfare of animals in our care.

Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: 17,004 per annum

Finance Administrator

The Finance Administrator role will be working closely with the Resource Manager to support the Charity’s operations, fifty employed staff and over two hundred dedicated volunteers.

 

As the charity continues to grow, the demand for administrative and organisational support has grown too. The Finance Administrator is a key member of the support function, the post-holder will be a highly organised, independent worker who is pro-active, tenacious and a proven completer-finisher.

Volunteering

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic we are unable to take on new volunteers within our centre. It is our priority to ensure that all of our animals are able to receive the best possible animal care, and to achieve this we must minimise any risk to our staff and keep them safe. We hope to be able to re-introduce existing volunteers and recruit new volunteers soon.

 

Marketing Officer (Volunteer)

5 hours + per week

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, driven Marketing graduate or someone currently studying for a degree in Marketing who would like to test their skills in the real world to gain experience. A passion for animals is a must. This is the first role of its kind with our charity so you will be making a great impact on the future of our Marketing Strategy.

This is an exciting stage in the charity’s development and the Volunteer Marketing Officer will support the Fundraising Department in the promotion of its activities.  You will also be responsible for promoting the CDCH brand, our animals, charity shops and services.

General Duties

  • To revive and manage our charity Google Grant.

  • To design and produce marketing content, videos and features for on-line advertising, our website blog and social media.

  • To assist with our paid Social Media advertising.

  • Tracking and analysing results – using tools such as Google analytics to produce reports.

  • Keep up-to-date with all relevant legislation and regulation and work within the organisation’s policies and procedures.

 

Skills/Experience

  • Great communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Self-starter – You will use your knowledge to help revive our $10,000 google grant and use it to further the main aims of the charity.

  • At least 6 months experience of paid social and Google analytics.

  • Keen interest in marketing for an animal charity.

  • Ambitious and looking to contribute to the charity.

  • Degree in Marketing, Business or related subjects are encouraged to apply.

Desirable:-

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (previous life/work experience will be considered)

  • Experience of donor development and direct marketing techniques

  • Able to demonstrate a logical and methodical approach and the ability to develop and implement processes and procedures

  • Flexible and adaptable

  • The ability to win people over through copy writing, to inspire them about the work of the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home and motivate them.
