Resource Manager

The Resource Manager works across all areas of the Charity as part of the Senior Management Team. The successful candidate will be super organised and efficient in all they do, with an ability to plan and prioritise tasks.  

 

This role will suit someone who has operated within a senior administrative role and has experience of finance, facilities management and health & safety. The role includes line management responsibilities.  

 

This post is a permanent position (subject to satisfactory probationary period) and is available on a 30 hour per week basis.

Salary £33,000 FTE (Depending on skills and experience)

Part-Time Receptionist

The Receptionist role sits within the Operations Front of House Team.  The team oversee an animal’s journey with us; from intake, assessment and through to rehoming. Additionally, the front of house team play a key role in ensuring our Clinic clients receive an excellent standard of customer care, both for the client and their four-legged companion.  As a key member of the operational team, the post-holder will be a strong communicator, highly organised and engaging. 

 

The post-holder will have a cheerful, confident and friendly approach. You will have good communication and organisational skills and an excellent telephone manner, with a genuine desire to provide an excellent service to visitors to the centre and to the CDCH team.  You will have a keen eye for detail as the handling of cash and maintenance of office systems forms a key part of the role. This role is broad based, and you will be expected to be able to manage several different tasks simultaneously and actively contribute to the smooth functioning of the centre. 

Salary £17,374.50 pro rata per annum

22.5 hours per week

VOLUNTEERING

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic we are unable to take on new volunteers within our centre. It is our priority to ensure that all of our animals are able to receive the best possible animal care, and to achieve this we must minimise any risk to our staff and keep them safe. We hope to be able to re-introduce existing volunteers and recruit new volunteers soon.

 

Trustees

Cotswolds Dogs and Cats Home is looking for dynamic and experienced professionals to join our committed Board of Trustees and excellent workforce to help shape, lead and develop our organisation into the future. You must have a passion for the welfare of dogs and cats as well as a drive and determination to keep on improving the services we provide. We are especially keen to receive applications from retail, commercial or development specialists.

Marketing Officer (Volunteer)

5 hours + per week

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, driven Marketing graduate or someone currently studying for a degree in Marketing who would like to test their skills in the real world to gain experience. A passion for animals is a must. This is the first role of its kind with our charity so you will be making a great impact on the future of our Marketing Strategy.

This is an exciting stage in the charity’s development and the Volunteer Marketing Officer will support the Fundraising Department in the promotion of its activities.  You will also be responsible for promoting the CDCH brand, our animals, charity shops and services.

General Duties

  • To revive and manage our charity Google Grant.

  • To design and produce marketing content, videos and features for on-line advertising, our website blog and social media.

  • To assist with our paid Social Media advertising.

  • Tracking and analysing results – using tools such as Google analytics to produce reports.

  • Keep up-to-date with all relevant legislation and regulation and work within the organisation’s policies and procedures.

 

Skills/Experience

  • Great communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Self-starter – You will use your knowledge to help revive our $10,000 google grant and use it to further the main aims of the charity.

  • At least 6 months experience of paid social and Google analytics.

  • Keen interest in marketing for an animal charity.

  • Ambitious and looking to contribute to the charity.

  • Degree in Marketing, Business or related subjects are encouraged to apply.

Desirable:-

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (previous life/work experience will be considered)

  • Experience of donor development and direct marketing techniques

  • Able to demonstrate a logical and methodical approach and the ability to develop and implement processes and procedures

  • Flexible and adaptable

  • The ability to win people over through copy writing, to inspire them about the work of the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home and motivate them.

Shop Volunteer

To assist the Shop Manager & Deputy Manager to achieve agreed sales and profit targets whilst minimising costs and maintaining a strong presence in the high street to benefit the charity.

 

The post-holder will have a cheerful, confident and friendly approach. You will have good communication skills with a genuine desire to provide an excellent service to all shop users.  You will have a keen eye for detail as the handling of cash and maintenance of systems forms a key part of this role.

 

You will show a commitment to the aims of CDCH and possess a willingness and ability to learn and follow direction.

 

This job has physically active elements. Volunteers are required to maintain a suitable level of fitness to enable them to perform their role effectively.
