Animal Care Assistant
Our Animal Care Assistants will be highly motivated and passionate about animal care, you will be responsible the daily animal welfare function with a focus on providing exceptional service to both our four legged and two legged friends.
The Animal Care Assistant will be responsible for delivering the highest possible standards of animal welfare and care for every animal in their journey through CDCH, from reception, to assessment and then to rehoming. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring that every animal experiences optimum care during its time with CDCH. Our ambition is that no abused, neglected or vulnerable animal in our community is without a safe space.
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: £17,374.50 per annum

Cirencester Superstore Clothing Department Manager
To be responsible for the clothing department and to assist the Superstore Manager to achieve agreed sales and profit targets whilst minimising costs and maintaining a strong presence in the high street to benefit the charity. To assume full responsibility for all aspects of the shop and departments in the absence of the Superstore Manager & Furniture Department Manager.
The post-holder will have a cheerful, confident and friendly approach. You will have good communication and organisational skills with a genuine desire to provide an excellent service to all shop users. You will have a keen eye for detail as the handling of cash and maintenance of systems forms a key part of this role. This role is broad based and you will be expected to be able to manage several different tasks simultaneously and actively contribute to the smooth functioning of the shop

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic we are unable to take on new volunteers within our centre. It is our priority to ensure that all of our animals are able to receive the best possible animal care, and to achieve this we must minimise any risk to our staff and keep them safe. We hope to be able to re-introduce existing volunteers and recruit new volunteers soon.
Marketing Officer (Volunteer)
5 hours + per week
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic, driven Marketing graduate or someone currently studying for a degree in Marketing who would like to test their skills in the real world to gain experience. A passion for animals is a must. This is the first role of its kind with our charity so you will be making a great impact on the future of our Marketing Strategy.
This is an exciting stage in the charity’s development and the Volunteer Marketing Officer will support the Fundraising Department in the promotion of its activities. You will also be responsible for promoting the CDCH brand, our animals, charity shops and services.
To revive and manage our charity Google Grant.
To design and produce marketing content, videos and features for on-line advertising, our website blog and social media.
To assist with our paid Social Media advertising.
Tracking and analysing results – using tools such as Google analytics to produce reports.
Keep up-to-date with all relevant legislation and regulation and work within the organisation’s policies and procedures.
Great communication skills and attention to detail.
Self-starter – You will use your knowledge to help revive our $10,000 google grant and use it to further the main aims of the charity.
At least 6 months experience of paid social and Google analytics.
Keen interest in marketing for an animal charity.
Ambitious and looking to contribute to the charity.
Degree in Marketing, Business or related subjects are encouraged to apply.
Educated to degree level or equivalent (previous life/work experience will be considered)
Experience of donor development and direct marketing techniques
Able to demonstrate a logical and methodical approach and the ability to develop and implement processes and procedures
Flexible and adaptable
The ability to win people over through copy writing, to inspire them about the work of the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home and motivate them.
