Moon is Looking for Your Help

We have taken in a French bulldog puppy called Moon, and she urgently requires surgery. We are appealing for your support to help cover the costs of Moon's operation and aftercare.

Before arriving at CDCH, Moon had sadly been involved in a serious accident that resulted in her fracturing her elbow.

Sadly, Moon had been left a long couple of weeks after her accident before being brought to the centre.

During this time, her broken bones have begun to fuse together incorrectly, this has left Moon in a lot of discomfort and pain.

We have looked at all possible avenues to ensure she receives the best possible outcome even with taking cost out of the equation; however, we have been working closely with Vale Vets and following expert veterinary advice the decision has been made that the best thing to do for Moon is to have her leg amputated.

Moon is lucky enough to have youth on her side and will adapt quickly to her new life style.

Whilst amputation of a leg may seem like a big procedure, for Moon it is crucial for improving her quality of life and wellbeing.

Once Moon has undergone her amputation surgery, naturally there will be lots of care and pain management involved during her recovery, the animal care team are well prepared and trained to ensure Moon will get all the support she needs to heal.

“Moon is already demonstrating that despite her difficult start to life she has a loving character and a zest for life that will continue to shine though over the next few weeks” –

Animal Operations Lead

With this in mind we are reaching out to you, to ask for your help and generosity to fund her operation and give her the bright future she deserves.

If you are able to make a donation to help Moon please do, no donation is too small, and we value all your support.

Please note, all money raised will first be used on whatever treatment and care Moon needs. Any additional funds will go towards other animals at the centre.
