Zeus came into CDCH having been picked up by an inspector. Zeus was tethered to a gate in a garden of a vacated property for about 4 months. Zeus was occasionally thrown food and was quite underweight. His sleeping and eating area was surrounded in his faeces. As expected, on arrival, Zeus was extremely nervous of new people and the team spent a huge amount of time gently gaining his trust to bring him out for walks. Over the course of the next few weeks he began to trust the staff and his loving character emerged. Zeus became a cheeky chap who has now found a loving new family who feel extremely lucky to have him. We are so proud that we are able to help animals like Zeus whose fear and distrust of humans may have been perceived incorrectly. Within just days, the Animal Care Team had gained his trust, we are continuously amazed at the forgiveness we see in our animals at CDCH. Click here to see all our other dogs available for adoption
