More Foster Homes Needed

Our wonderful gentleman Juke is one of the lucky ones to find a foster home with a volunteer. Juke was brought in from the Shrewsbury area, having been abandoned at a veterinary clinic by his owner. He was emaciated, suffering from flea dermatitis and was somewhat wobbly on his 13-year-old legs. It has been more challenging than anticipated to find Juke a home to call his own to live out his golden years, so the decision was made to try him in foster with a dedicated volunteer, Eve and her spaniel Bo. Juke is doing incredibly well with Eve and is being utterly spoiled.
Some animals, especially dogs, that come to the centre may find it more stressful than others and find it hard to settle. Animals involved in a prosecution case can often stay in our care for months or even years so we would prefer to find them alternative care than kennels. It can be challenging to look after a dog who is not happy in a kennel environment so we are always looking for local foster homes willing to help while we find that animal a permanent home.
