Barbossa needed emergency care which resulted with him having his eye removed
Updated: Mar 25
We want to introduce you to the very handsome Barbossa.
Barbossa came in as a stray through the inspector and is estimated to be around 3 years old. The inspector noticed that the side of his face was swollen and his eye was protruding. After a few days with the vets they decided the only way to make him more comfortable was to remove his eye.
After having his eye removed, Barbossa settled right into the kennels at the vets. He was calm and comfortable and it was now just a case of making sure he had his pain killers and enough antibiotics to keep any infection away.
Barbossa then came into the cattery. He is such a handsome, lovely boy. He still has a long way to go to recover but we are keeping a close watch on him. Once he has recovered from his eye surgery he will need a major dental too.
Little Barbossas operation to remove his eye was around £600 and we have had an estimate for the dental (including removal of 4 canines) for £500 .
For both operations, we need to raise £1,100 to ensure this boy is happy, healthy and ready to find a forever home.
There are a few ways you can help Barbossa on his road to recovery.
