Jazz, the Super Star Mum!
We’ve met a lot of canine mothers who deserve to be celebrated - none more than Jazz, who came into the centre at the end of last year.
Jazz was rescued with two companions, Raz and Taz. All three were in need of medical attention but none more urgently than Jazz, who was suffering from a long untreated eye disease which had left her blind. On top of this, Jazz also had a number of mammary tumours which needed to be removed. Poor girl!
Jazz showed how brave she was by taking these issues in her stride and has adapted very well to life without her sight. The lovely terrier trio have recently been adopted and, despite a few bumps, Jazz has got to know her new home by confidently following the family around.
Her new owner told us, “Jazz is very loving and enjoys a cuddle, but she is definitely the boss when it comes to the other two! Raz (now Ralph) looks out for his mum when we're out for a walk, by giving a warning bark to any other dogs who might want to come and say hello.”
Jazz is certainly a strong character but no doubt the support of Raz and Taz have made things much easier for her and have helped her regain her confidence.
