The Terriers Have All Found Their Forever Homes, Thanks To The Support Of Our Community!

Updated: Sep 24, 2020

You may remember a story we shared about eight terriers that came into our care recently.

The dogs were covered in faeces and kept in small rusty cages with soiled blankets and excrement all over the floor and walls. It is thought that they have spent their lives in cages, with very little room to move around or exhibit normal behaviour. If you would like to read more about them you can do so HERE.

After a good few baths and pampering sessions to get their urine and faeces stains out of their coats, this beautiful little lot really started to show signs of improvement. They were all so happy to be around humans they knew they could trust and provide them the essentials that they clearly didn't have before.

As you can imagine.... the CDCH team fell in love! Some of the terriers went into foster care (the team were only to happy to offer their homes for foster too) and life started to look brighter for them.

After providing all of the essential vet treatment that they needed (including a dental or two) this bundle of fun were ready to find their forever home. We didn't waste any time getting them into warm, clean, caring homes as it was about time they learnt what love and care was!

When the eight terriers came into our care, we knew the centre needed help and support to turn their lives around. We put out an appeal on our Facebook page and to our amazement the appeal raised over £3,500! We couldn't be more grateful! Without your support we couldn't have turned their lives around so quickly! This went towards the 8 terriers vet costs - we neutered, carried out dentals, vaccinated and gave flea and worm treatment.

All eight terriers have now found their forever homes! Seven are already in their new homes and the last one, Bubbles, will hopefully be off to his new forever home soon!

It was down to our wonderful team that made it possible for these lovely dogs to all find their perfect match in under five weeks in our care.

We want to thank you all for your continuous support! From the team and the animals! We are very grateful.

If you would like to make a donation to help support animals like these beautiful terriers you can do so HERE. Thank you.
